Emergency First Aid (Blended)
This is an 8.5 hour course, with 4 hours online (theoretical knowledge) and 4.5 hours in class (practical knowledge) No Re-Certs available in Ontario. First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies. Other topics include circulation and breathing emergencies, as well as the prevention of disease transmission. Course Content: The Red Cross Responding to emergencies Check, Call, Care Choking Circulation Emergencies CPR AED Breathing Emergencies Wound Care Basic Life Support: This course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.
