Basic Life Support
This is a 4 hour stand alone course This is a Professional Responder Course, providing participants with the confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation. Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course. Airway Management
This is a 5 hour stand alone course, or can be added to the basic life saving course. just add 1 hour for $20.00. Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create a patent airway, the interventions to maintain it, and the equipment available to carry out these skills. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide the appropriate interventions, including measuring and inserting the applicable airway adjunct based on the patient’s condition. Course can also be combined with Basic Life Support training for additional certification. This course is intended for health care providers (nursing, care aides, dental industry, medical offices etc.), pre-hospital care groups (fire departments, rescue teams, sports therapists, lifeguards, SCUBA divers, ski patrol, etc.). Oxygen Therapy
This is a 5 hour stand alone course, or can be added to the basic life saving course for an additional hour just add $20.00. Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to correctly identify when it is necessary to administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to properly and safely handle and assemble the equipment and how to correctly deliver supplemental oxygen through the appropriate delivery device. Course can also be combined with Basic Life Support. Course Content: Pulse oximetry Supplemental oxygen Oxygen cylinders Oxygen regulators Oxygen delivery devices Administering oxygen

Stay Safe Course
This is a 6 hour course offered in class. Offers basic first aid and safety skills for youth 9-13 years old. Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult, both at home and in their communities. Course Content: The importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself The importance of setting and following safety rules when on your own How to stay safe at home and within the community How to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations (e.g., inclement weather, strangers, and unanticipated visits) Basic first aid skills Take-home Materials: Stay Safe! Babysitters Course
This is an 8 hour course offered in class This course offers basic first aid and care giving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families. Course Content: How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours Information on children’s developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours First aid skills The business of babysitting
